When I spotted those bright, sunny and ‘loud’ yellow garments filling out the fashion shops windows everywhere in Paris this July/August.., it was not hard to figure out that it’s the ‘red hot’ colour this season!

It sure brightened up my day as soon as I saw this sunny yellow dress at Paris Galeries Lafayette in July.
It seems, seeing bright yellow always lightens my mood, I guess that, when I wear an all-yellow dress like this, it would be like gluing a piece of sunshine to myself!

After taking one shot of the mirror reflection from a change room at Galeries Lafayette when I tried this dress on… I up loaded the photo to share on Facebook (as you do nowadays).
Soon getting plenty of ‘like’s, plus receiving thumbs up encouragement in my inbox messages from my fashion conscious friends… Next thing I knew, this ‘piece of sunshine’ was safely wrapped and tucked into my luggage, flying across half the world from Paris to Sydney ‘avec moi’.

Back to Sydney, soon came the spring time…
Not only witnessing bright yellow garments taking centre stages this spring/summer in fashion stores here too; people were out wearing and flaunting them in an impressive numbers!
‘Yellow Fever continues!!’ I jokingly texted back to a friend who texted me about his latest bright yellow pencil pants purchase – with an image attached!

I decided to make it the ‘official day out’ for my Paris found ‘a piece of sunshine’ when I heard William Street Festival calling.
Not only it had won me several compliments that day – from fashion photographer Brett Hilder, to a local lady who queued up behind me for a freshly made juice – while my date, fashion photographer Kent Johnson was doing some snap shots for me in Hopewell street Paddington, we happened to be documented by another amused snapper!!

Besides bringing sunshine to on lookers’ eyes, this dress is sure a statement piece; an attention grabber!
And this Yellow Fever – all the way from Paris to Paddington – is smoking hot this season!! I’m so in love with it.
