Years ago I attended a Christmas Party for singles. I wore a black cocktail dress and a pair of black heeled sandals. The only accessory I had, was some traditional Holly berries and leaves in my hair – you know, the classic red and green Christmas colours. It turned out that most of the compliments I received that evening was all about my green and red hair accessory.
What did I learn from the above experience? If I must wear black to a Christmas or New Year’s Eve Party, I’d wear it with something colourful or something to add bling. That extra brightness we give to the black ensemble will help us shine through the celebration night!
