It was a chilly night on the 28th of May in Sydney. But the limelight was hitting the media wall of the Reebonz Australia flagship store, which had kept the VIP guests looking glowing and warm. Yes, it was a who’s who of local social media big names; Instagram sensations and the store’s VIP customers, who, mostly attended in black and gold sartorial splendour (they had read the memo) for the Reebonz third anniversary bash.
My official photographer Kent Johnson was Reebonz’ official photographer that night and I spotted Kent photographing the elegant outfits on my arrival.
On entering the George Street store, I was soon offered a glass of champagne and I saw a tray of super cute handbag ‘cakepops’, correction, luxury handbag cakepops! We had the choice of Antigona and Birkin – I ate a Birkin!!!
After catching up with friends and familiar faces, the official fun began, our host of the event, local super blogger, the sweet and gorgeous Nadia Fairfax who informed us of all things Reebonz.
We were then treated to an accessory focused fashion parade, followed by a luxury handbag auction – Burberry; Michael Kors; Prada and Saint Laurent all went under the hummer. The funds raised of the night to be donated to White Ribbon Australia.
Many champagne later, as we were about to call it a night, fellow bloggers Glen Fitzgerald; Jason Neophytou; hair stylist Leo Pimpa and I hit the media wall again and the result was these fabulous informal photos captured by Kent (see main pictures above). They are my favourite media wall pictures to date!
It seems that’s the key to a great photograph – to do it at the end instead of the beginning!

This post about Reebonz third birthday celebration coincidentally happened when my humble blog reached its third year too! What a timing!! I want to thank all of you who have viewed; read; liked; commented and/or shared my posts in the last three years! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
That sounds like a lot of fun! You look awesome in the pictures, too!

Thank you Leani. 😘 Yes we had a fabulous night!
Dear Vivienne, thanks for the awesome write up; yes as I say it all happens at the end! OK maybe not quite all but the more impromptu shots for sure. Wish I’d had a Birkin cake pop! Cheers, Kent.

Yes, “It all happens at the end!”.., a few more champagne has something to do with it too I guess. Still can’t believe that you missed out on a chance to ‘eat a Birkin’!!! X
Too busy working! And delivering too 😉
Having fun, enjoying your passion in life and being with good friends is really what life is all about. The pictures are wonderful and clearly show the fun of the event. Apparently, the end of the evening truly creates the best pictures.
Thank you Dr. Jonathan. One of my relatives who lost the battle to Pancreatic Cancer once said to us: “The most important things in life is to be healthy and to be happy!”
As they say – “Laughter is the best medicine.” – therefore, I intend to embrace joyous time in life! X
“Beginnings at the end”,what a lovely idea Vivienne; another one of your diary entries which sings with joie de vivre as Kent’s delightful pic attests!
Thank you for your lovely feedback Greg. I’m very happy to hear from you! X
Hello there Vivienne,
Congratulations! A consistent 3 years is really awesome. Keep up the work. I enjoy reading. Maybe one day we could collaborate or meet in a closer city. Cheers to you darling hard work pays off !
Thank you very much for your positive and encouraging feedback Alyssa!
Yes, it’s great to be connected through the blogging world, but it’d be even better to meet and exchange our styling tips in person someday! Love & hugs X
Happy blog anniversary! I totally agree regarding the media wall shots. The ones taken in the beginning of the evening always look a bit stiff, but after a few drinks, people start to loosen up:) I really like the dress you’re wearing. The color is just gorgeous. I’m sure the Birkin bag was super tasty:)
Thank you for your lovely comment. I’m so glad to hear your positive feedback regarding my dress choice! As the invitation noted ‘black & gold’ dress code for this ‘Gold & Bold VIP Event’; however, I missed the memo and turned up in coral. Just picture me explaining to people where was my ‘gold’ throughout the night, I felt like an outcast!!! (Haha~ NO regret though!)
Oh, and the idea of ‘eating a Birkin’ was definitely better than the flavour itself, but is was fun! 😀

Thank you so much Penney! X
