After a day of informative media presentations on theMICAM; MIPEL and TheBagShow Press Conference (find out more here), we were asked if we were still attending the Cocktail Reception that same night at Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA). Of course we were!
When Kent and I arrived MCA’s roof top Harbourside Room, it was already packed with guests. The waiters stood by with trays of Italian wines and beer, I chose a glass of Prosecco and soon spotted some familiar faces in the crowd including Will and Steve, the winners of MKR 2015. You know that I’m a big fan of these two Gourmet Pommies (see main picture above, Steve in a white shirt that night and Will in the navy blue shirt).
More friends.., 2GB Radio Presenter, the lovely Janette Lakiss; popular Youtuber and Sydney foodie Dion Woo, and we received a very warm welcome by the always stylish Loredana from Italian Trade Agency (ITA).
After a welcome speech made by host and ITA Trade Commissioner Antonietta Baccanari, followed by Mr. Ivan Scalafarotto, Deputy Minister for Economic Development, I felt honoured to be a part of celebrating Connect Italy Australia. Who doesn’t love and own a piece or three of Made in Italy?!!!
As we chatted, Italian wines kept flowing and delicious canapés kept coming our way and we enjoyed new (and not so new) friendships in a laid back atmosphere ALL with the backdrop of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge! What better way to celebrate and send out the message of Connect Italy Australia!!
Thank you again ITA for the invite. It had been a wonderful day for us connecting the best of Made in Italy!

You seem to have such a busy social life in Sydney. Prosecco sounds like the perfect drink for an evening like that (love everything with bubbles):)
