For one night only, the Applied Fashion Design and Technology at Ultimo TAFE, showcase the mid-year 2022 graduate collections on Wednesday, June 22nd. This would be my third time attending TAFE’s graduation exhibition thanks to Kent who is a real fashion insider. This year Kent’s invitations came from one of TAFE’s graduate designers – Gemma Pope. Kent was commissioned to shoot her range for her fashion label – Viena.
So, what to wear? It’s mid-winter (Sydney is so cold and wet right now!!!) and I wanted a vivid coloured coat to uplift the mood, and to keep me warm of course. Yes, I knew that much, and the rest just fell into places based on that thought. This velvet coat I found in my wardrobe… Well, the rich yellow and peony prints were definitely bright and loud… in a feminine and cheerful way! On top of that, its almost-cape-like design (with only one button fastening on the top), and oversized silhouette made it a perfect choice for the occasion! Quirky, chic, yet not so serious. After pairing it with a roll-neck camel jumper and a pair of dark-blue jeans… I was set to go!
For you who want to find out more about this fashion event, simply head to White Caviar Life’s event post. Special thanks to Kent who spotted a pattern-on-pattern photo opportunity, and said to me: ‘Go stand there, let the dress wrap you!’…
