If I was only allowed to pick one type of fashion accessory to wear, well… I’d most likely be going for a pair of earrings. And the reason? Very simple. Earrings draw attention to our faces!

From a pair of little studs to a pair of dramatic chandelier drop earrings, they have different effects on our outfits and look. I have to admit that I love wearing those chandelier styles, they are so theatrical and glamorous especially when they are decorated by little gem stones.
And even dressing down with a maxi dress or a maxi skirt, they can give a boho look too. What a great investment they are!
Studs are certainly growing on me. Pearls or little diamond studs are my favourites. If diamond studs are too pricey, then cubic zirconia are almost as good, as long as they are not too big, or they will give their fakeness away!

Some believe if one has a large face, you shouldn’t wear big earrings… but I don’t think so. I think large earrings actually make our faces look smaller.
I also love those long drop earrings which help to draw attention to our neck line. A woman’s neck line is very sensual… If I happen to wear a low cut dress or gown, I’d choose drop earrings over a necklace, because that way it keeps my neck line and decollete smooth and clean, and that to me, is both elegant and sexy.

My latest earring purchase was two pairs of gold plated round shaped drop earrings with little garnet gem stones hanging below them. I found them in an Indian jewellery store in the Latin Quarter during my vacation in Paris this year.
Before my trip, I made a promise to myself to not be spending on anything that was unnecessary, but I couldn’t help myself from buying them during my very first week there.

Well, what can I say? There will always be an extra room and budget for a new pair of earrings! (… or maybe even two pairs if I’m feeling lucky… )
